NEBOSH National General Certificate Course 2006

NEBOSH National General Certificate

FIRST TIME PASS RATE 90%

CREDIT GRADE OR BETTER 51%

CRS is a registered provider
Approved Centre Number C490

The NEBOSH National General Certificate is a qualification designed to help those with health and safety responsibilities, for example, managers, supervisors and employee representatives, to carry out their duties at work and more effectively and to protect the organisations for which they work. It will help ensure that decisions are made from a position of knowledge across a broad range of hazards and work activities.

It is the most widely held health and safety qualification in the UK with nearly 100,000 people having gained the award since it was launched in 1989.

No previous health and safety knowledge is required but students must be able to write short reports.

The duration of study for the National General Certificate is a minimum of 87 hours plus private study and background reading. Each written paper consists of one 'long-answer' question and ten 'short-answer' questions. All questions are compulsory

The syllabus is divided into three units - two taught units NGC1 and NGC2 (which contain the following elements), and a supervised practical assessment Unit NGC3). A certificate is awarded for successful completion of each unit.
