Technical Auditing Course
Our technical audit course is one of
the best courses managers have ever attended – so say
our delegates. The week-long course is based around
a case-study audit of a medium sized distribution depot,
interspaced with ‘how to do it’ tutorials.
The case study storyline is sufficiently
rich and the documentation sufficiently comprehensive
for delegates to be able to carry out audits in the
Distribution and Supply department, with a variety of
Terms of Reference. For example, delegates could carry
out a straightforward business management audit, an
occupational safety and health audit, or even an environmental
management audit.

Delegates, working in teams, are given
documentation to review, analyse and use as they would
normally have to do in a real audit. When ready, they
prepare an audit work programme and have an opportunity
to meet and interview a variety of people, some face-to-face
and others through their team leader. The "real" people
available for interview work at every level of the business,
for example, some of the Directors, the Distribution
Manager, the HSE Manager, a Depot Manager, a Transport
Shift Supervisor, a Yard Supervisor, a Loading Supervisor,
a Fitter, the Stock Control Supervisor, or the Office
Supervisor. Each individual, role played or enacted
by one of our tutors, has information to give to the
delegates, if they ask the right questions and/or understand
the relevance of what they are being told.
This course is delivered in association
with our sister company KMT.
The tutorial team will be lead by Stephen
Asbury and or Peter Ashwell,
respected authors of the book Health and Safety,
Environmental and Quality Audits- A risk based approach,
which has been received to critical acclaim. See the
